Step One: Studio Visit Jay welcomes clients to the studio to view the gallery, works-in-progress, and his portfolio. Clients interested in commissioning a special piece will discuss concept and budget. Step Two: Home Visit If a client wants a work designed for a special space, Jay will visit their home, photograph the space, and discuss imagery and size. To proceed with the project, the client submits a non-refundable $500 drawing fee.

Step Three: Rough Sketches Jay will create and present several rough sketches in accordance with previous discussions. The client will choose a favorite composition, which will ultimately become the finished painting. Step Four: Finished Drawing Before proceeding with the painting, Jay will produce a finished drawing or a color maquette to provide a better indication of the finished piece. In deciding to commence the commission, the client puts down one half of the price of the piece.

Step Five: Painting Delivered When the art work is finished, the balance is due and Jay will deliver the piece and hang it on its reserved spot on your wall!
